2:9Butifyewillnotmakeknownuntomethedream，thereisbutonedecreeforyou:foryehavepreparedlyingandcorruptwordstospeakbeforeme，tillthetimebechanged:thereforetellmethedream，andIshallknowthatyecanshewmetheinterpretationthereof.

2:10TheChaldeansansweredbeforetheking，andsaid，Thereisnotamanupontheearththatcanshewthekingsmatter:thereforethereisnoking，lord，norruler，thataskedsuchthingsatanymagician，orastrologer，orChaldean.

2:11Anditisararethingthatthekingrequireth，andthereisnoneotherthatcanshewitbeforetheking，exceptthegods，whosedwellingisnotwithflesh.

2:12Forthiscausethekingwasangryandveryfurious，andmandedtodestroyallthewisemenofBabylon.

2:13Andthedecreewentforththatthewisemenshouldbeslain;andtheysoughtDanielandhisfellowstobeslain.
